Stenson takes it all!

Last Sunday as Henrik Stenson approached the 235 yard 18th hole, and the 72nd hole of the tournament with a three shot lead, the dream of this has-been golfer, to make such a big comeback where he regained his status and then won the tour championship over a course of a year, came true.

Stenson, who at one point was in the elite status of golfers on the planet, had dropped off the planet after he won the Players Championship  "fifth" major) in 2009. Stenson battled through injuries, and ultimately had to rebuild his swing after this severe downfall.

As a golf fan, I wanted to see this happen just like I wanted to see Mike Weir make a huge comeback after his struggles after his Masters win. But did I see it coming?

No. This comeback was very unexpected, and very appreciated all around by the golf community. Stenson is generally known as a very nice/funny guy on the PGA Tour, and everyone loved watching this marvelous comeback.

What Stenson took home with him this past weekend was $11.4 million, 1.4 from Tour Championship victory, and 10 from winning the Fed Ex Cup. The biggest thing Stenson got was IT back. The one thing all golfers with dreams of making it big want.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stenson wins multiple times next year, including a major. But that's always said after someone has a great year, especially the Fed Ex Cup champion.

Stenson has a better chance than the others, though. That's because Stenson has already been at the top of his game, and he knows what it's like to lose it all. Stenson's one of the few that has the best chances of being around for awhile, and that's because he's still on the way up, I don't believe he's reached his peak yet. And when he does, it's going to be a bad day for the U.S. Ryder Cup team, and anyone whose looking to win a major that year.

This Swede is not going anywhere soon, and he's looking forward to an even better year next year.
